My creative process is unlike that of most artists. My work embodies experimentation and discovery within the process of creating and exploiting materials; pushing them to extremes.

Flexibility, intense heat, luscious light, erratic fluidity and resilience, are a few fascinations I have with glass as a material. My work involves exploiting glass in a surrealistic sense that invites the viewer to question the material and what they are seeing. I attempt to provide the viewer with an opportunity to perceive glass in a new way and think twice about how it acts, moves and functions. I hope to provide them with the same sense of wonder, awe, and curiosity I feel during my creative process.

My goal in developing work is to inspire curiosity by revealing the mystical properties of glass and to shed new light on the surprising characteristics and capabilities of glass.
